The transportation industry is divided into the following three sub-sectors: land, air and sea transportation, each of which experienced important changes during the first Pahlavi period. The biggest development during Reza Shah's period was related to rail transportation, which was completed with the construction of the nationwide railway of Iran, and this railway connected the north and south of Iran. Interesting information about the history and execution process of this project can be extracted from the newspapers of that period. The idea of building a nationwide railway line was proposed by Morteza Qolikhan in the book "Rah Nejat" before the establishment of the Pahlavi dynasty, and Reza Shah joined the operation under the title of Iran's nationwide railway line. Simultaneously with this project, attention was also drawn to closing the tax on sugar, which led to the establishment of this railway. In the field of road construction, along with the construction of the national railway, road construction and improvement of the country's main roads were put on the agenda, and this action connected different regions of the country. Also, air transportation was also launched in cooperation with Junkers, domestic and international airlines, and the transportation of passengers and goods was on the agenda.
